High school student, 16, shot dead at Brooklyn party after family's warning

Iquan Williams, a sophomore at Frederick Douglass Academy, was shot and killed at a party in Brownsville Saturday night. Hours before he died, his family reached out to Iquan to warn him that someone was planning to bring a gun to the party.

Iquan Williams, 16, a Frederick Douglass Academy sophomore, was shot and killed in Brownsville on Saturday night.

They warned him not to go.
A 16-year-old boy was shot and killed at a Brooklyn party Saturday night — just hours after his parents reached out and told him someone was going to shoot the place up.

“They got my baby! They got my baby!” Tiana Williams wailed as she arrived at the scene where her son Iquan lay murdered in a building’s doorway.

“We told him not to go,” a grief-stricken Williams said.
