Beyoncé Reportedly Sells 828,773 Units & Breaks iTunes Record

Witness the influence and fan base of Beyoncé. Today the diva dropped a self-titled video album without any preliminary announcement and is already heading to the top of the charts. Currently available exclusively through iTunes, the project reportedly sold over 80,000 units in the first three hours.

Beyoncé is projected to land at #1 in the week's top albums chart with over 200,000 copies pushed. Garth Brooks' Blame It All On My Roots: Five Decades Of Influences was initially expected to top the list with projections of 150,000-160,000 units sold, before Bey unleashed her cut out of nowhere.

Update: BEYONCÉ sold over 80,000 downloads in the three hours from 9 PM PST to midnight on Thursday evening. The next day the project pushed another 350,000, contributing for a total of 430,000 copies in 27 hours. Wow!

Update 2: The album continues its unstoppable crusade. According to huffingtonpost.com,
BEYONCÉ sold 828,773 units over the weekend (617,213 copies in the US alone) and became the fastest-selling album ever on the iTunes Store worldwide. In addition, Bey earned the largest sales week of 2013 for a woman and her project will debut at No. 1 on next week's Billboard 200.
